NEWS – Apple has announced the highly anticipated successor to their popular iPhone SE. As the most affordable iPhone, it is essentially an upgraded iPhone 8, which it replaces in Apple’s lineup. Featuring a 4.7″ Retina Display with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support, and TouchID, it is available in Black, White, and (PRODUCT)RED, in Apple’s familiar aluminum and glass design.

iPhone SE is powered by Apple’s A13 Bionic chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 11 series, which Apple calls the fastest chip in a smartphone. The camera system has been upgraded as well, with a single lens, 12 MP camera supporting Apple’s Portrait Mode and Smart HDR, and a 7 MP front-facing camera. Both cameras support video image stabilization and the rear camera records up to 4K video at 60 fps and extended dynamic range at 30 fps for more cinematic video quality.

Battery life is rated at up to 13 hours of video playback. When it comes time to recharge the battery, it supports fast 18W charging (adapter sold separately) or with your favorite Qi wireless charger. iPhone SE is rated IP67 for water resistance, meaning it can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

iPhone SE is available in 64, 128, and 256 GB models starting at $399. Pre-orders start Friday, April 17. Learn more at www.apple.com/iphone-se
