NEWS – Apple has introduced a new 13-inch Macbook Pro with updated keyboard, double storage capacity, and available 10th generation Intel Core series processors. This marks the end of Apple’s use of its butterfly keyboard, the controversial mechanism introduced in the 12-inch Macbook in 2015. The 13-inch Macbook Pro uses Apple’s Magic Keyboard, using an updated scissor mechanism, first introduced in the 16-inch model last fall, and the Macbook Air, introduced in March.
Storage has been doubled across the board, with configurations ranging from 512 GB up to 4 TB on the highest-end model. RAM capacity has also been increased up to 32 GB. The 10th-generation processors include Intel’s Iris Plus Graphics, delivering up to 80% faster performance from the previous generation. Some models are capable of driving Apple’s 6K Pro Display XDR at full resolution.
As with previous generations, the 13-inch Macbook Pro includes the Touch Bar in place of physical function keys and Touch ID for easily logging in and purchasing through the Mac App Store and web sites that support Apple Pay.
Prices start at $1,299 ($1,199 for education customers) and will be shipping later this week. Find out more at www.apple.com.
